On February 17th, 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Re-investment Act (ARRA). This act includes $786.8 billion in tax relief, direct spending, and discretionary funding. Approximately $204 billion of the discretionary funds are being passed to State and Local government for education, infrastructure, social services, health care and other initiatives.
Finish Line Solutions (FLS) takes a practical approach to ARRA funding, tracking the funds and funding mechanisms in which our IT clients are most likely to participate. As illustrated in Figure 1, we work with our clients to identify the customer need, the fit with our clients’ products and services, and available ARRA funds.
Following this methodology, FLS has identified over $53 billion in stimulus funds which explicitly call for or allow for IT. At Finish Line, we match these sources to our clients’ offerings and build end-to-end sales campaigns. This includes creating value propositions, writing reusable grant responses, and providing contact lists.
In addition, we provide our clients with a site dedicated to stimulus funding that includes our research on funding opportunities, grant documents, grant writing assistance, and general sales assistance. The data that we provide is actionable versus the high-level information that is flooding our industry.
Our services take the mystery out of the stimulus and allow our clients to act now to capture stimulus funds.
